About us

I, Monika, have been living with this breed for almost 25 years. From the very beginning I was fascinated, in love, lost. When I look into the eyes of a Tibetan Mastiff, I am forever captivated. They touch me to my very core. Life without these fantastic, loving, empathetic and majestic beings is unimaginable.

The step from dog lover to breeder was not a big one for someone educated in biology, genetics, pedagogy and leadership. Fascination with the mentality, health and anatomy of dogs is completely natural. It is important to me to breed in a healthy and thoughtful way, to take care of the conditions in which the puppies grow up, and to ensure that puppy buyers receive support and advice throughout the dog’s entire life. We at Bod Khyi are there for our puppies!

We, my husband Ulf and I, live in Uppland with our house right in the middle of the dog yard. In the pictures below there is a glimpse of what life with dogs at the kennel can be like. We live with dogs because we love them and have lived with the breed since 2003. We breed from time to time, not as a business idea, but because we want a puppy from the planned combination. Six litters have been born with us.

In addition to the commitment to the breed, there is a strong interest in breeding and mentality. Monika is a test leader for MH and BPH and a describer for the puppy mental description MV, as well as a trained breeding official within SKK.

     Our Philosophy

Our motto is simple: "Breeding for better, not for purse."
We believe in honest, transparent and long-term breeding. The life journey of our dogs and puppies is presented in the form of health data and more on each dog’s and litter’s page.
